Case Report: Ischemic Stroke As A Result of Aortic Dissection

Stroke is one of the leading causes of mortality and morbidity. Aortic dissection is a highly mortal medical condition without treatment, too. Aortic dissection can present with different clinical signs and symptoms. One of them is stroke. Treatments of ischemic stroke and aortic dissection are different from each other. Because of that, early diagnosis and treatment of ischemic stroke due to aortic dissection is important. In this case, we aimed to explain a young and male patient with large ischemic stroke as a result of painless dissection and thrombus of the carotid arteries and painless dissection of ascending and descending aorta, arcus aorta and iliac artery.

Olgu Sunumu: İskemik İnmeye Neden Olan Aort Diseksiyonu

İnme mortalite ve morbiditenin en önemli nedenlerinden biridir. Aort diseksiyonu da tedavisi yapılmadığı takdirde hayli ölümcül bir medikal durumdur. Aort diseksiyonu farklı bulgu ve belirtilerle prezente olabilir. Bunlardan biri de inmedir. İskemik inme ve aort diseksiyonun tedavileri birbirinden farklıdır. Bu yüzden aort diseksiyonuna bağlı iskemik inmelerin erken teşhis edilmesi ve tedavisi önemlidir. Vakamızda genç erkek hastada, çıkan ve inen aort, arkus aorta ve iliak arterin ağrısız diseksiyonu ve karotid arterlerde ağrısız diseksiyon ve trombüs sonucu iskemik inme gelişen bir vakayı açıkladık.
